Introduction to Carton Tape

Carton tape is a strong adhesive tape primarily used for packaging and sealing boxes and cartons. These tapes are typically made from plastic materials such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) and are produced with water-based or solvent-based adhesives. Carton tape comes in various types and is commonly used in various industries, especially in packaging goods, shipping products, and warehousing. Carton tape can be used to pack cartons, boxes, and other packaging.

It is used to seal carton doors and protect metal surface coatings (electric shutters and double-glazed windows). The background can be transparent (glass), white, or any desired color, and the width can be adjusted from 2.5 cm to 7 cm. Printed tape with the company’s logo and information printed on it assures the customer that the purchased goods are genuine.

There are several methods of printing on the tape:

a) Printing is done on the cellophane part of the tape, so the printed part cannot be easily erased.
b) Printing is done on the adhesive part, which reduces the print quality and reduces the tape’s adhesion, and this method is used in small quantities.
c) In the third method, the cellophane rolls are printed first, and then the adhesive is applied to the printed part, which can be done in large quantities with excellent quality.

The number of colors printed on the tape ranges from 1 to 5 colors. It can be done by cliche or cylinder. To print each color on the tape, 1 cliche or cylinder must be made.

The length of each roll of tape is 90, 180, 300, 500, and 1000 yards, depending on the customer’s request.

90 yards = 82 meters, 250 yards = 228 meters, 180 yards = 164 meters, 500 yards = 457 meters.

The width of the tape that can be produced in Iran is 2.5 cm, 3.5 cm, 5 cm, and 7 cm.
